After going through somewhat a considerable period of journey in Coveted Government Service, Covenanted Multi – National Company jobs and then my own Business while Mitali was engaged in her Own Boutique Saree Shop at Gariahat , we two came to the conclusion that we will go for Networking, A Novel Concept in India then, by Courtesy of Economic reforms brought by the then Prime Minister Narasinha Rao ably assisted by his Finance Minister Dr. Monmohan Singh. But the total Fun remained that we had come to Network without knowing our real Nett Worth for the same. Anyway another wonder that we two had our First Network in Modicare only with its First office then opposite to Madox Square, Ritchi Road . That was 1999.
But sudden turn of events took us away from Modicare to some other Networking Company where we had been for 18 years at stretch with so many Titles and accolades. We believed, at this Senior Age of Ours, as of now, we will close our innings there only. But God was smiling within, with His desire otherwise.
Our fate was decided two years back by a sudden visit of Mr. Subrata Kar Modicare with a proposal of ours joining Modicare . But it did not happen then and there. In 2017 April we had another meeting with Mr. Kar he himself being Vice – President East and North – East by then. And we joined Modicare in May 2017 and our new journey took off. At long last, we came back to Mother Modicare again.
All we meet, on way to the journey which goes on and on ………. It’s not that in this ceaseless journey of Ours. We have never had failures, But in all odd situations of our Life, we taught ourselves to think positive, find fuel in failures & remembered that no inventions in world were cleared in one shot. We accept failures, but what we don’t accept is “NOT TRYING or GIVE UP TRYING”. A leader has to earn the Title and has to make it happen by sheer hard work with strong determination, dedication and burning desire alone. One has to stand up for what he believes in and hold on to that conviction.
Networking has given us complete fulfillment of life and not just financially. Oscar Wilde once said, “There is only one class of people that thinks more about money than the rich & that is the poor”. In all humility, we have always being trying to run our Network with highest ethics and integrity, which is the very basis of one’s capital in respect of Good Will. Herein lies the appropriateness of a good to great leader’s objective. In this regard, our Bible remains, Jim Collins extraordinary book, “Good to Great’ Good is the enemy of great and that is one of key reasons why we have so little that becomes great”- writes Collins.
A Goal is a Dream with a deadline. Many of us are not living our dreams because we are living with our Fears. To be a successful Leader, One has to be ready to take up Challenges since challenge brings one into competitions and competition ingrains insistence for win. But all we have to learn is “The Rules of The Game”. And then you have to play better than anyone else. As we look ahead, Leaders will be those who empower other.
Finally, Goal remains the most important passage to any achievement in Life. We should take this immortal saying by heart
“GOALS ARE TO LIFE WHAT WHEELS ARE TO TRAINS. THEY KEEP US ON TRACK. ANVILS DREAM OF BEING OF HAMMERS.
YOU WILL ONLY GET FROM THE UNIVERSE THAT FOR WHICH YOU ASK”.
Modicare teaches us, how to set Goals, how to succeed at one’s best. Great Company, Great Products and Great success Plan with all these invaluable Tools in our Armoury we have to be powerful people.
