K P Namboodiri's, one of the most trusted brands from Kerala, was founded by Sri Kolathappally Pothayan Namboodiri (K P Namboodiri) in 1925 at Vadakkekad village in Thrissur District. Its first product, 'Dantadhavanachoornam' (Ayurvedic Tooth Powder) soon became synonymous with quality ayurvedic dental care product and emerged as the company's flagship brand.

After Sri Pothayan Namboodiri, his son Sri Raman Namboodiri took over the mantle and grew the company significantly. Its products became extremely popular in Kerala and beyond.

Sri K Bhavadasan, son of Sri Raman Namboodiri, and present Managing Director, revamped the product portfolio and gave a new look and aura to the brand, drawing on the rapport and feedback from customers. Under his leadership, the company started an ambitious expansion program mechanising manufacturing operations with world-class machinery, developing & introducing a series of new products and bringing in high-caliber professionals to the Company's fold.

Today, the Company has its own manufacturing facilities across three locations in Kerala and select contract manufacturing operations.

A new state-of-the-art R&D laboratory played a key role in enhancing the quality of the products and in development of new products.

From being a mainly Toothpowder Company prior to 2007, the Company introduced K P Namboodiri's Herbal Toothpaste with great success. This was followed with K P Namboodiri's Herbal Gel Toothpaste in 2009, and then on with other products not only in oral care, but also in skin care, hair care and other categories such as herbal thirst quenchers and a very high quality, traditional Bhasmam (vibhuthi).

K P Namboodiri's is changing with the times, connecting with younger generation, by spotting their needs and presenting quality products that meet their daily needs. This quest continues.
